Accommodation

Students have many options for accommodation including temporary student housing, homestay, private rentals (particularly share housing with other students), and motels/tourist accommodation. Caloundra offers very affordable and relaxed living compared to Australia’s major capital cities. Transport is easily accessible from the Sunshine Coast Airport and an easy 20-minute drive from Caloundra Campus.

Homestay

Since you will be far from home, CADET can also arrange for you to live with a local Australian family to assist with settling into your new surroundings. Most homestays are located close to the campus or a short bus trip away, and can include meals – usually breakfasts and dinners. Your private room will usually include a desk and all linen. Cost is approximately $150-$210 per week.

Transport

Transport to CADET International College on the Sunshine Coast, Australia

CADET can assist you with getting to and from the College with our Airport Shuttle Service. Please complete the relevant section when filling in your Application for Enrolment Form before submitting to us. One of our support staff will then be in contact to finalise arrangements.

We can:

• Arrange bus transport from Brisbane Airport
  
• Take you to your choice of arranged accommodation
  
• Advise you on travel by train, bus or plane to the College
  

Please note that the International office must receive your form at least 5 working days prior to your expected arrival. The office is not open on Saturdays or Sundays.

The Sunshine Coast offers an exciting variety of activities and attractions for all ages. Whether you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere or one of action and adventure, the Sunshine Coast has it all! Sun-drenched surfing beaches, the tranquil hinterland where you can taste local wines, and attractions which provide hours of entertainment. The world famous Australia Zoo is only 20 minutes away by bus, the Big Kart Track, The Big Pineapple, and Aussie World are also only a short drive.
