Brisbane Airport

Brisbane Airport is conveniently located approximately 15-20 minutes drive (13 km) from Brisbane CBD, 75 minutes drive from the Gold Coast and 105 minutes drive from the Sunshine Coast. Please note that longer travel times can be experienced during peak hour.

Check In

Check-in is located on Level 4 of the terminal for all airlines. Airline check-in is generally open 3 hours before flight departure time. Due to extra security measures you are advised to arrive early for your check-in.

If arriving by car there is a handy two minute loading time allowed at the terminal kerbside for dropping off passengers and luggage. Due to Government security requirments, you must not leave your car unattended at any time. If farewelling passengers, drive to the car park and return to Level 4 using the lifts and escalators at the front of the terminal.

Find your flight number on the flight information display boards and monitors and proceed to the check-in row shown.

After check-in passengers proceed through the Yellow Arches to Immigration and Security screening and then to the Level 3 Departures Lounge. Aircraft boarding is called approx 40 minutes prior to departure time so please allow at least 20 minutes to clear Immigration and Security.

Allow extra time if you wish to shop in the large Duty Free and selection of speciality retail stores on Level 3. If you have time to spend with farewellers before Immigration and Security there is a range of bars, cafes & shops for your enjoyment on Level 4.

Sunshine Coast Airport

Sunshine Coast Airport is just north of Maroochydore and about 25 minutes drive along the coast to Noosa in the north and about the same to Caloundra at the southern end of the coast. Sunshine Coast airport is located at Friendship Avenue, Marcoola (07 5453 1511)

Sunshine Coast Airlines

Jetstar fly direct daily to both Sydney and Melbourne using a Boeing 717 and A320. Virgin Blue fly from both Melbourne and Sydney and use a Boeing 737. The journey time form Sydney to the Sunshine Coast is about 1.5 hours and from Melbourne 2.5 hours.

Check in

Check in is easy and the desks are at the left hand side of the terminal and open two hours before departure. Dropping off is allowed at the terminal and a limit of two minutes given. Free car parking is available in the car park that is very close to the terminal. The departure lounge is open 50 minutes prior to departure.

Sunshine Coast airport terminal facilities

There is an ATM near the security screening area. A kiosk sells refreshments and newspapers and some gifts. The arrivals and departure lounge has large screen TVs and an outdoor setting area. It is all very relaxed an comfortable. A post box is located into he Piazza area. Shopping is possible at the Gift Hangar with souvenirs, jewellery and other interesting items. A Telstra public phone is available.

Maroochy Tourism run a tourist information desk in the arrival hall near the luggage carousel.
